An intimate micro-sized elopement at Villa Catalana Cellars, Oregon City has taken our breath away. Firstly, the property has a wine barrel getting ready room and a pond-side ceremony. Secondly, Italian architecture is evident everywhere. Thirdly, and most importantly, a curated earth-toned luxury table scape set in the Moroccan tasting room gave this styled shoot all of the winery wedding vibes of our dreams.
Villa Catalana Cellars Wedding Packages
San Clemente de Tahull, a 12th century romanesque church in Catalonia, Spain is the inspiration for Villa Catalana. Additionally, the tasting room is also a rare plant conservatory where many unusual tropical plants flourish. Moreover, it is a beautiful sight to see that will completely transport you out of Oregon.
Villa Catalana Cellars is open to the public for wine tastings by reservation only. Additionally, they host events like farm to table dinners and plant sales in their extravagant nursery.

Event Times & Set Up at Villa Catalana Cellars
“Our garden venue for weddings rents for $6500 and includes a day to set up, the day of the event and a day to take down.
The rental includes use of the garden, but not the house.
The terraces are accessible for guests but set up on the terraces is not permitted.
Use of the Conservatory Tasting Room and bathroom can be used as a dressing room, if it does not conflict with our tasting room hours.
The Hermitage is great for a changing room or bar.
We have a large Grape Arbor as a covered area for the reception and it is not necessary to rent a large tent.
The area can seat about 150. A $500 fee applies for more guests. Maximum capacity is 200. No artificial flower petals and confetti.
Because we are in a rural area, Oregon State statutes require that the event can not begin before 6 am and must conclude at 9:00pm. All staff must finish at 10pm.
Not Included
Our space does not include tables and chairs, linens, tableware, catering and flowers. We can recommend rental companies that will deliver these essential items for an additional cost. If you have a wedding planner, they can do this for you, or you can do it yourself. If you would like to use a wedding planner, we can recommend several good planners. We can recommend a golf cart rental agency, if you would like a 6-seat golf cart. No cars on the grass.

To tour our venue you can visit us when our winery is open Saturday afternoons from 1 to 4pm. Or you may schedule an appointment at another time.

Getting Ready | Wine Barrel Room
To begin, the wine barrel room at Villa Catalana is a beautiful and simple space for our bride to do her hair and makeup touches. In addition, the room has cottage like windows and stone tuscan archways at the entrance. Afterwards, the couple was able to emerge out together and admire the rain hitting the upper pond. Yes, there are multiple ponds! We loved capturing this moment before their ceremony.
Ceremony | Pond-Side Garden Nuptials
Next, beautiful stone steps leading down to the water allow your guests to get unobstructed views from above. Meanwhile, the couple views the villa in the distance, a large willow tree and the rustic stone gazebo. In essence, it makes for a ravishing backdrop and will make others guess you had a destination wedding in the Tuscany countryside.
Villa Catalana Tasting Room | Luxury TableScape Wine Dinner
Remarkably, this tasting room is a truly unique experience. The instant hit of humidity and moroccan lamps above welcome you. Additionally, tropical plants hang from all corners of the room and, if you have the right planner and florist, a beautifully designed table for dinner welcomes you.

This day was particularly cold and overcast. Unfortunately, that’s what you get with Oregon in March-time. Fortunately, the bride had a fashion forward fur jacket, so it made the rain even more editorial and chic!
