I was initially so shocked when Alice + Brad told me they weren’t sure they had enough “stuff” to create a wedding video for, because they definitely made the most out of their day! And I’m so glad they went for it, because it turned out epic! I am truly blown away by how much fun I had filming this Zion National Park Sunrise Elopement for them!
Alice + Brad’s Zion National Park Sunrise Elopement
The day started with a sunrise hike to the Zion Canyon Overlook. Passerby’s saw them and cheered them on as they exchanged their vows. Just like with my Glacier National Park film, Alice + Brad asked for their vows to be on a separate + private film, which I was more than happy to do.
Alice + Brad then led us back to their Glamping tent to take a nap, eat lunch, and just recharge. They then set up a beautiful charcuterie picnic around sunset time, which was just the most beautiful backdrop to this fun moment between them.
We continued to bask in the peaceful nature around us, captured more beautiful images and waited to see an epic moon rise and stars. This is when we set up a little s’mores and bonfire, and put all of our cameras down and enjoyed each other’s company — and Alice + Brad enjoyed being newlyweds.
Why Have a Zion National Park Sunrise Elopement?
If you and your love are the adventurous, outdoorsy type and a traditional wedding isn’t your vibe, it’s totally possible to have an adventurous elopement! It keeps things a lot more intimate and private, you save some money AND you can just focus on you and your love. Getting it captured on video allows you to still be able to share the experience with others but keep the memories especially private to you. A sunrise elopement is especially incredible because of that beautiful lighting and more privacy within the park you choose to visit!
I couldn’t even begin to express how grateful I am Alice + Brad asked me to film their elopement, despite their hesitations! Any elopement, especially a national parks elopement, will offer PLENTY for your videographer to capture and still make an epic wedding video out of it! It gives me a chance to create art out of the video, make cool music edits, and have fun with the filming process overall!
