The Wedding Morning
From the very start of the day, it was clear that this wedding was rooted in meaning. Lamiyah spent the morning with her girls in the suite upstairs dancing on the balcony and having a first look with the bridesmaids and each set of her parents.
The Ceremony
Immediately after walking down the aisle, Justin and Lamiyah chose to gather together for worship with their guests, creating a quiet, sacred pause before the celebration unfolded. This intentional moment set the tone for their ceremony, which also included communion—an incredibly powerful and emotional reflection of their shared faith and commitment. As an Oregon Wedding Videographer, moments like these are what make a wedding film truly timeless: unscripted, reverent, and full of depth.
Wedding Dress
Lamiyah was absolutely radiant in a fully custom wedding gown designed by @thefittingparlor. Every detail of her dress was tailored specifically to her, resulting in a one-of-a-kind look that felt both modern and classic. The craftsmanship and personal touches of the gown added an elevated editorial feel, especially when paired with the soft gardens and historic charm of Chateau De Lis.
Cocktail Hour
Following the ceremony, guests flowed into a cocktail hour that felt straight out of a Martha Stewart summer garden party. The couple incorporated Martha Stewart–inspired umbrellas, adding both shade and style while enhancing the airy, romantic atmosphere. The umbrellas not only served a practical purpose but also became a visual highlight—bringing movement, texture, and a playful elegance to the grounds of Chateau De Lis.
The Reception
As the evening transitioned into dinner and dancing, Justin and Lamiyah welcomed their guests beneath a large, beautifully shaded tent. The tent housed both the reception tables and the dance floor, creating a cozy yet open environment that encouraged connection and celebration. Soft light filtered through as laughter, heartfelt toasts, and joyful dancing carried on well into the evening. Our favorite was the outfit change into Laos attire to honor Lamiyah’s background.
From a storytelling perspective, this setup allowed for seamless transitions and cinematic moments—something every Oregon Wedding Videographer hopes for when documenting a wedding day.
