The Perfect Airbnb for Your Oregon Coast Elopement
Trinh and Trevor began their elopement adventure at a charming A-frame Airbnb near Oceanside. Situated between lush Oregon forests and the serene coastline, this cabin set the scene for their intimate first look and sweet cake-cutting moment.
The renovated mid-century cabin boasts stylish interiors filled with cozy touches. Upon arriving, the adorable retro yellow Smeg refrigerator immediately caught my eye. It’s so picture-perfect, especially as a background for a photo of the bride’s white boots bathed in golden morning light. In truth, it’s unique details like this that make photographing Oregon Coast weddings so worthwhile.
Additionally, the Airbnb’s spacious outdoor deck overlooks a wooded area. Here, Trevor waited anxiously to see Trinh for their first look. The moment they shared—filled with tears, laughter, and joy—was everything an elopement should be.

Tips for Choosing Your Elopement Airbnb

The right Airbnb not only offers beautiful spaces for photography but also creates opportunities for meaningful moments together. Is the listing a place you can see yourselves getting ready together or sharing breakfast before your ceremony?

Think about what reflects your personalities as a couple. Whether you’re drawn to vintage charm, mid-century style, or a modern, minimalist space, there’s an Airbnb along the coast to match your style. Also, make sure to communicate clearly with the hosts about your plans. While many hosts are willing to let you have an elopement photography session at their properties, it’s essential to ask what’s allowed before you book.

Creating Your Oregon Coast Elopement Timeline
An important tip for any elopement is creating a relaxed timeline. Trinh and Trevor’s day flowed effortlessly, allowing time for intimacy, spontaneity, and incredible photos. To help you visualize your own schedule, here’s a quick breakdown of their timeline:
- Getting ready and first look at Airbnb
- Cake cutting and small celebration on Airbnb deck
- Ceremony at Manzanita beach grass fields
- Pre-golden hour photos at Hug Point State Park
- Sunset newlywed portraits at Cannon Beach’s iconic Haystack Rock
This structured yet flexible elopement timeline ensured that we captured diverse locations and experiences without feeling rushed.

Scenic Oregon Coast Elopement Ceremony in Manzanita
After the heartfelt moments at the Airbnb, we headed to their elopement ceremony location in beautiful Manzanita. Manzanita is known for its expansive sandy beaches and peaceful, romantic vibe—ideal for intimate ceremonies.
We parked near “The Little Apple” grocery store and walked directly toward the coast. To the left, fields of golden beach grass swayed gently in the breeze, creating a dreamy setting for their elopement ceremony. Trinh and Trevor exchanged personal, heartfelt vows against this stunning backdrop. Moments like these perfectly showcase why adventurous couples choose to elope on the Oregon Coast.

Oregon Coast Elopement Portraits at Hug Point State Park
Our next location, Hug Point State Park, offered dramatic cliffs, hidden sea caves, and even a waterfall—ideal for adventurous spirits. Remember, this location is best accessed at low tide, so plan accordingly.
The rugged textures of rocks and cliffs contrasted beautifully against Trinh’s delicate bouquet of white calla lilies and Trevor’s sophisticated forest-green tie. Indeed, every detail came together perfectly, highlighting their love and the wild beauty of the Oregon Coast.

Golden Hour Elopement Photography at Haystack Rock, Cannon Beach
No Oregon Coast elopement guide would be complete without mentioning Haystack Rock, one of Oregon’s most beloved landmarks. Arriving at golden hour, we were treated to gentle light and pastel skies—absolutely perfect for romantic sunset portraits.
Seeing Trinh and Trevor’s reaction to this iconic site for the first time was a highlight of my day. They ran hand-in-hand across the sand, laughing and savoring every second of their newlywed bliss. As the sun dipped lower, we celebrated with an epic champagne pop. I had so much fun capturing these photos with the reflective wet sand beneath their feet. Pro tip: weekdays are best here, ensuring fewer crowds for your intimate celebration.

How to Get a Marriage License for Your Oregon Coast Elopement
Before your elopement day, don’t forget to secure your marriage license! In Oregon, this process is straightforward, but timing matters. You’ll want to apply at least a few days ahead of your ceremony. This way, you’ll be sure everything is official for your big day. Here’s more info about how to get a marriage license for your Cannon Beach elopement.
The Best Time of Year for an Oregon Coast Elopement
Trinh and Trevor got married in mid-October, so we got super lucky with the beautiful weather. Though the Oregon Coast can be unpredictable weather-wise, autumn often offers fewer tourists and stunning lighting conditions. Always have a backup plan in case of unexpected rain, but know that the moody atmosphere only adds romance and character to your photos.

Why Choose An Oregon Coast Adventure Elopement?
Adventure elopements, like Trinh and Trevor’s, provide more than just beautiful locations. Overall, they offer intimate experiences tailored to your individual love story. For couples craving authentic, intentional celebrations free from expectations and pressures, an elopement on the Oregon Coast delivers just that.
