The Love Story Behind T+J’s Griffin House Wedding
Teresa and Justin’s love story is one of friendship that blossomed into something beautiful. The couple met in the 4th grade, and their love eventually grew, leading to a proposal story that’s as adventurous as it is romantic.
Originally, Justin was determined to propose at sunrise at the top of Angels Landing in Zion National Park. However, the couple woke up late that morning, and their plans quickly turned into a series of unexpected events. With the shuttles not yet running, they decided to walk a mile to the trailhead. Realizing they wouldn’t make it to the top in time, they tried hitchhiking—but no one stopped to help. Eventually, just as hope seemed to dwindle, a truck that had initially passed them turned around and offered a ride.
Riding in the bed of the truck, Teresa and Justin made it to the start of the hike. Against all odds, they reached the summit just in time for sunrise. It was there, surrounded by breathtaking views, that Justin asked Teresa to spend forever with him. And, of course, she said, “Yes!”

In this case, with the stunning Griffin House as the backdrop, we had the perfect setting for documenting these intimate moments. I worked closely with wedding photographer @jaimedenisephoto to ensure every detail, from the bridal gown to the couple’s fur babies, was captured in a way that truly tells their story. On the whole, these bridal portraits at the Griffin House felt truly magical. Surrounded by the beauty of the venue’s gardens and wooded grounds, we captured Teresa in her stunning lace gown, radiating elegance and grace. The natural light and peaceful ambiance made it particularly effortless to film these timeless shots. We shot all around the grounds, documenting the bride and groom along with their bridal party, looking stunning in their black dresses and classic suits.

Later, the ceremony took place beneath evergreen trees, with a rustic moss-covered stone wall framing the stunning panoramic views of the Oregon landscape. As the couple exchanged vows, the ceremony was filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. All in all, the wedding’s black-and-white theme added a touch of elegance, creating a timeless look for the ceremony. Additionally, a little bit of haze in the sky lent this day even more elevated PNW vibes.
