Ari & Jordan’s Fateful Meeting
Jordan and Ariana first met in the college town of Eugene, Oregon, at the University of Oregon. There, destiny decided to play its hand, bringing together this match made in heaven. Jordan sat beside Ariana on the bus and offered her a mint; Ariana said, “What are you trying to say?” They both laughed, and that was the beginning of their love story!
From their first meeting on a university bus, Ariana and Jordan felt the stirrings of fate pulling them together. That single mint was the catalyst for small conversations on their morning commute to campus. Their playful banter over the upcoming basketball game between their beloved basketball teams sparked a connection neither could resist. Ariana, a passionate Oregon Duck Fan, and Jordan, a devoted Arizona Wildcat. Final score: Ducks 85, Wildcats 58.
A Romantic Love Story Full of Serendipity
Eventually, Ariana and Jordan had their first date at Cornbread Cafe, a vegan restaurant. Jordan wasn’t a vegan, but his choice for that night spoke volumes about his willingness to step out of his comfort zone to make the evening special. Their connection was so genuine and effortless that they found themselves not wanting the night to end, so they decided to extend their date.
A trip to the local favorite, Sweet Life, for dessert added a sweet touch to their evening, and they continued their adventure at Falling Sky, a cozy local bar. During their date, they discovered that their birthdays were just a day apart, a delightful coincidence that added another layer to their growing connection. As the evening drew to a close, it was clear that Jordan and Ariana had experienced something truly special.
Between busy class schedules and university life, they found pockets of time to cherish each other’s company. Together, they decided to include meaningful rituals, such as breaking the glass and signing the ketubah, to symbolize their commitment to each other and the beginning of their new shared journey. Yet, at the same time, Ari and Jordan wanted their wedding to reflect the beautiful tapestry of their diverse backgrounds.
Melding Jordan’s Jewish roots with Ari’s cultural influences, they managed to curate a celebration that blended traditions, flavors, and experiences from both worlds. They wove together elements like the elegant chuppah adorned with flowers, symbolizing growth and new beginnings, and the lively hora dance that brought guests of all backgrounds together in joyous celebration. Jordan chose a unique and fun way to start his wedding day with his groomsmen! The guys spent some time relaxing in the pool, enjoying a few beers, and connecting before the festivities began. I love Sarah’s shots of the bride and groom’s wedding shoes beside the pool!

Meanwhile, Ari and her bridal party were busy getting their hair and makeup done by the incredible glam team she hired. As can be seen in these photos, these ladies really enjoy spending time together. When the time came to get Ari into her bridal gown, all her bridesmaids jumped into action! Together, they helped her don her beautiful, timeless wedding dress, full-length veil, and classically elegant wedding shoes.

Ari and Jordan first fell in love with Callaway Winery for the simple reason that it is a stunning venue and has the best wine! They did their engagement photography session in Tuscany, so they wanted to evoke the same wine-country vibes on their wedding day. Ultimately, Callaway Vineyard & Winery in Temecula, CA, checked all the boxes on their wish list.
Also, as is a recurring theme in Ari and Jordan’s love story, serendipity had a role to play in their venue choice. Years ago, Jordan’s mother, Ellen, and stepfather, Todd, visited this very winery. During Ari and Jordan’s tour of the property, Ellen shared a heartwarming anecdote, revealing that the first time she set foot inside the venue with Todd, she knew deep in her heart that her son would one day exchange vows there. Little did she know that this would become a reality years later!
As Jordan and Ari stood amidst the vineyards, Ellen’s words resonated with them and reinforced the feelings of destiny that surrounded their love story. It was as if the universe had been quietly orchestrating things all along, guiding them to that very moment. And, on their wedding day, especially during this bridal portrait session, the couple felt a profound sense of gratitude and awe at the beautiful synchronicities that have led them there. Some connections are truly written in the stars, and love has a way of weaving its magic in the most unexpected of places.

With the rolling vineyards and wine barrels as the backdrop to their Callaway Vineyard & Winery wedding, Jordan and Ari got married under an elegant Jewish chuppah. They adorned the chuppah with flowing white drapery and white florals, setting a magical scene for exchanging wedding vows. Ari also walked down the aisle carrying a perfectly dainty lily of the valley bouquet. All in all, this ceremony fully represented the couple’s unique personalities, faith, and backgrounds.

These golden hour bridal portraits are what wedding dreams are made of! Full of romantic, panoramic vineyard landscapes, this session showed off both the venue’s beauty and these newlyweds’ love. Ari and Jordan reveled in their new union, giving us a seamless blend of light-hearted and intimate shots.
All White Wedding Reception Details
Finally, after shooting the most dreamy sunset out on the grounds, I got to capture Ari and Jordan’s epic wedding reception party. These two danced the night away on a custom checkered dancefloor, complete with extra twinkle lights to make things even more romantic. The guests enjoyed a photo booth, a late-night coffee cart, and delicious woodfired pizza. The couple even surprised everyone with a last-minute dance floor add-on in the barrel room during the after-party! Finally, they ended the night with a grand exit, perched on the back of a friend’s convertible, driving off into the night as cold sparklers lit up their departure.
